Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, Schulich Racing adapted and pivoted, allowing for the continuation of the team's rapid development in the creation of the SR-21. On top of its striking livery, the SR-21 boasts a further developed aero package allowing the car to increase cornering speed and significantly decrease lap time. Furthermore, the team opted for a new power unit, the YZF-R6, which boasts a higher compression ratio with better packaging than the previous power unit. Overall, the team’s meticulous efforts all culminated in the creation of the competitive SR-21. The vehicles superior performance allowed the team to place as the top Canadian team at FSAE Michigan June.
SR-20
-
As Schulich Racing's most accomplished car to date, the SR-20 achieved the team's ambitious goal of earning a top 10 finish at FSAE Lincoln 2019.
The engineering philosophy of the SR20 was dictated by the overarching target of increasing the car's performance by 20% over the SR19. Along with the addition of a dry-sump oil system to improve the powertrain's capablities, it is the team's first car to boast a competition spec aerodynamics package. These developments complement the performance gains seen in mechanical grip as a result of a meticulously designed suspension system. Despite the addition of several new components, the SR-20 impressively weighs 36 pounds less than the SR-19.
The team behind this year's car was focused on creating a competitive vehicle by pushing the limits of the team's technical abilities.

SR-19
-
Building off of the success of the SR18, the SR19 was designed to be a more reliable and better-engineered upgrade to its predecessor. While they followed a similar layout to the subsystems on the SR18, nearly every component on the SR19 was re-evaluated and improved. Most notably, the ergonomics of the car were massively improved with an infinitely adjustable pedalbox and fitted seat. Additionally, the suspension packaging was revamped to improve cornering grip and the cooling system was redeveloped to manage the high temperatures at competition. The design changes to the car and its reliability paid off as it set a new best finish record for the team achieving 16th at Lincoln 2018. The SR19 also completed every event at competition including the endurance event. This marked the second consecutive endurance finish for Schulich Racing. Check out our competition video here.

SR-18
-
The first of Schulich Racing's vehicles to return to the sidepod configuration, the SR18 was a major upgrade from the SR17. Featuring a side mounted radiator, 4-1 exhaust system, seat with built-in firewall, and an aluminum honeycomb impact attenuator, this car was a notable step forward from previous generations. These changes paid off massively at the 2017 Lincoln FSAE competition where the team achieved a team-best 22 place overall, 1st in cost, and completed endurance for the first time ever. SR-17
-
The SR-17 was an iterative improvement over its predecessor the SR-16. While the majority of the systems remained the same, each of them went through a redesign to reduce weight and solve any issues from the previous version. After suffering a number of mechanical challenges during the dynamic events at competition the car placed 32nd overall. The design process for the SR17 proved to be instrumental in developing the skills of a new team which led to the success of future cars.
